About this maze

A fish that is also a maze: you enter at the tail on the left and swim out through the mouth on the right. It is drawn for children aged about 4 to 7, with wide corridors and a short path, and it reads left to right like a line of text, which suits early readers. Good for an ocean topic or an aquarium trip.

What’s in the PDF

  • Page 1: the fish-shaped maze (12 × 9 grid, 40 cells), with Tail and Mouth marked by arrows.
  • Page 2: the solution, a red path 16 cells long.
  • Black and white, US Letter with 18 mm margins, so it also prints on A4 at 100 % scale.

Tip: Ask the child to name the fins and the tail before starting; the vocabulary sticks better when it is attached to a puzzle.
