What you need

  • Any printer (black & white)
  • 2 sheets of paper
  • A pencil

A 15 × 15 grid packed with eighteen dinosaur words, from the short ones (T. rex, claws, eggs) to the monsters (brachiosaurus, ankylosaurus, pterodactyl). It is for children aged about 7 to 10 who are not scared of long words. Words run across, down and diagonally, never backwards.

What’s in the PDF

  • Page 1: the 15 × 15 grid (words run across, down and diagonally, never backwards) and the list of 18 words to find.
  • Page 2: the answer key, with every word highlighted.
  • Black and white, US Letter with 18 mm margins, so it also prints on A4 at 100 % scale.

Tip: The long dinosaur names almost all end in -SAURUS: find that ending in the grid and read backwards from it to see which dinosaur it belongs to.
