About Unfair’s Quinn solo mode
Quinn is the official solo mode for Unfair, Joel Finch’s theme-park building card game, free from 2am Gameworks for personal use. Quinn is a reclusive tech billionaire stockpiling theme-park materials. Instead of running a second park for an imaginary rival, you play a two-player game against Quinn’s warehouse: up to five attractions plus any upgrades and staff, which need not fit together. A one-page flowchart decides what Quinn acquires and when Quinn attacks or defends.
You do not beat Quinn’s score but a goal total: each theme pack in play adds points (85 for Jungle, 95 for Western, for example), Quinn’s actions can raise it, and closing Quinn’s attractions lowers it. The leaflet is version 0.992 from February 2022, and the same rules come in the boxed CHKO expansion. You need the base game or its print and play; the official scoring app supports solo scoring.
How to play in one minute
- Pick two theme packs and set up a two-player game. Quinn gets no Gate, Loan, Showcase cards or coins; Quinn’s starting hand becomes the warehouse, redrawn if it has no attractions or more than three.
- Add up the goal values of the packs in play. You always go first.
- Each round, count Quinn’s stars to pick the flowchart column, which says whether Quinn attacks, defends, draws a card or acquires from the Market (Quinn’s money is unlimited).
- Quinn attacks your best target with its oldest attack event and defends by revealing events until one matches. City cards never affect Quinn.
- After eight rounds, score your park as usual. Match or beat the goal total and you win.
