About this printable backgammon board
This backgammon board printable from PrintablePaper.net (Savetz Publishing) is a plain, good-looking template: a tan-and-black board split across two Letter pages, a sheet of white and red checkers to cut out, and a page of instructions. It is the quickest way to get a backgammon set on the table when you are travelling or teaching the game and do not own one.
Backgammon is a 5,000-year-old race game for two players. Each side moves fifteen checkers around the board by the roll of two dice and tries to bear them all off first. Our full rules, with setup diagram, hitting, bearing off and the doubling cube, are on the backgammon rules page.
How to use it
- Print the three pages on plain paper or light card.
- Tape pages one and two together along the long edge so the 24 points line up; the bar runs down the middle.
- Cut out the fifteen white and fifteen red checkers, or use coins and buttons.
- Set up as the instructions show (2, 5, 3 and 5 checkers per side), roll two dice and play.
