About this printable crossword word game
Crossword Game with Friends from PrintablePaper.net (Savetz Publishing) is a paper version of the classic tile-laying word game: a 15x15 board with double and triple letter and word squares, 100 letter tiles with point values (1 for an E, 10 for a Q or Z) and a page of rules. It plays like Scrabble, a trademark of Hasbro and Mattel, with which this template is not affiliated.
It suits holidays and classrooms, or anyone who wants a spare set. The tiles are small, so cut carefully and keep them in a bag.
How to use it
- Print the board and tiles; card stock is best for the tiles.
- Put the tiles face down in a bag; each player draws seven.
- The first word crosses the centre star; later words connect to tiles already played. Draw back to seven after each turn.
- Add tile values, apply letter bonuses before word bonuses, and play until the tiles run out.
