About this printable Siege of Paris game
Siege of Paris is an asymmetric war game themed on the siege of 1870 to 1871. A small French force holds the central citadel against two invading armies. This printable from PrintablePaper.net (Savetz Publishing) supplies the board on two pages, pieces for all three sides and a guide to how each rank moves.
Like Fox and Geese, it pits a small, mobile defence against a large attack. The defender moves before each invading army, so it plays with three people, or two with one commanding both invaders.
How to use it
- Tape the two board halves together and cut out the pieces.
- Set black invaders on dark squares and silver on light squares at their ends; put the red defenders inside the citadel.
- Turns go defender, silver, defender, black. Capture by landing on an enemy piece.
- Invaders win with one officer and three soldiers inside the citadel; the defender wins by capturing 24 soldiers and 6 officers.
