About this printable Twelve Men’s Morris board
This printable Twelve Men’s Morris board from PrintablePaper.net (Savetz Publishing) gives you the board, 12 black and 12 white pieces to cut out, and the rules, on two black-and-white Letter pages. It is one of four morris boards from the same publisher; the best known is Nine Men’s Morris.
Twelve Men’s Morris adds diagonals to the Nine Men’s Morris board and gives each player twelve pieces. It is also played as Morabaraba. Every morris game is about getting three pieces in a line, a mill. Our Nine Men’s Morris rules page explains the family.
How to use it
- Cut out the pieces, or use coins and buttons in two colours.
- Start with an empty board and decide who goes first.
- Take turns placing one piece on any empty point.
- If the board fills with no capture, it is a draw. Otherwise slide pieces to adjacent points; with three left you may fly.
- Mills along rows, columns or diagonals remove an opponent’s piece; two pieces left loses.
