Small World: The Lost Tribe's Crusade

About The Lost Tribe’s Crusade

Small World is Philippe Keyaerts’s fantasy conquest game, published by Days of Wonder in 2009, in which races rise, spread across a crowded map and go into decline. The Lost Tribe’s Crusade is a free Small World print and play mini expansion from Asmodee. It lets you play alone, or with two players, against the Lost Tribes: a non-human opponent that follows short rules while you move its pieces.

You need a copy of Small World or Small World Underground; the expansion works with any of their expansions. Asmodee does not credit the expansion’s designer on the page. It suits owners who want to play when the table is small.

How to play in one minute

1. Set up Small World for your player count, then add the Lost Tribes material from the PDF.
2. Play your race-and-power combo as usual: conquer regions, redeploy, and score coins at the end of your turn.
3. When the Lost Tribes act, follow their rules to decide where they strike and move their tokens for them.
4. Put your race into decline when it runs out of steam, then pick a new combo.
5. After the last turn, check the result as the expansion rules explain to see whether you held off the Lost Tribes.

What’s in the PDF

• One file listed under Add-ons on the Small World page: rules for the Lost Tribes opponent and the pieces to print.
• Downloads open after you sign in with a free My asmodee account. We could not open the file, so the page count and exact pieces are not listed here.
• Print in colour on card stock. Everything else comes from your Small World box.
