About Escape Team: Training Mission and Central Station
Escape Team is a printable escape room made by Sarah, an educator, and Fabian, a UX design professor. You print a few pages, open the free app on a phone, and the app tells the story through audio while a countdown runs. Every mission is split into phases, each ending in a five-digit code that you type into the app; a wrong code costs time.
The first PDF bundles the Training Mission (maximum 10 minutes, rated easy) with Mission 1, Central Station (maximum 15 minutes), where you work as a team to stop a bomb. Both are free, including their app content; from Mission 2 onwards the PDFs are free but the app levels cost $2.99 each. The puzzles are drawn, cut, folded and written on, which is why the site insists on a real printout rather than a screen.
How to play in one minute
- Print the 12 pages single-sided, one page per sheet, and put scissors, coloured pens and tape on the table.
- Install the free Escape Team app, turn the sound on and choose Training Mission.
- Spread all the mission pages out and work on them in parallel; each phase’s overview lists what it needs.
- Solve a phase, enter its five-digit code in the app, and move to the next one.
- Enter the final code before the countdown ends. Then run Central Station the same way.
What’s in the PDF
- 12 A4 pages: a how-to page, the five-page Training Mission with three phases, and the six-page Central Station mission.
- Cut-out membership cards as props and a bonus offer: post a selfie of your group and the team sends a coupon for missions 2 to 4 (Android only).
- Prints fine in black and white; coloured pens are for you, not the printer.
- A phone or tablet with the free app is required; one device per group of four.
