About Unlock! 5th Avenue
5th Avenue is one of the free printable demo adventures for Unlock!, the escape-room card game by Cyril Demaegd published by Space Cowboys. New York, 1931: Al Capone has called on you from Chicago to steal a revolutionary product from the 2M4GD Corporation. Industrial espionage is not your forte, but you can handle the job, as long as you leave no traces behind.
At 26 cards it is the longest of the Space Cowboys demos, with a crowbar, a hairpin and a vault to work through. The introduction card carries the short rules, so this one is a good choice if you have already played the tutorial and want something a little meatier before buying a full box.
How to play in one minute
- Print the cards, cut them out and download the free Unlock! app; select the 5th Avenue scenario.
- Gather two or three friends (the card suggests three or four for a first game, but solo works), shuffle nothing: just keep the deck face down and read the introduction card.
- Reveal cards whose numbers you see on location cards or hidden in the illustrations.
- Combine objects (blue) with red cards by adding the numbers; enter machine codes in the app.
- Beat the timer to complete the mission; penalties for wrong answers cost minutes.
What’s in the PDF
- 10 pages holding 26 cards on a custom page size close to A4; print with “fit to page” on A4 or Letter.
- The first page doubles as the introduction and rules summary, with App Store and Google Play links.
- Colour printing matters because card colours drive the combining rule.
- Companion to this file: the 6-page tutorial PDF on the same demos page.
