About Choose Two

Choose One is a Looney Labs party game from 2013 for 3 to 10 players, in which everyone guesses how one player will answer an either-or question. Choose Two is Andrew Looney’s free print-and-play expansion that makes it work for exactly two players. It came out in February 2021.

In Choose Two you answer each question yourself and guess your partner’s answer, then talk about it. It is meant for couples, would-be couples and best friends who want to learn how much they have in common. You need the Topic cards from a copy of Choose One.

How to play in one minute

  1. Give each player a set of 4 answer cards, deal each player 3 Topic cards, and put the new board between you.
  2. Question: the active player draws a Topic card, then chooses one from their hand and lays it face up.
  3. Answers: both of you secretly lay down two cards, your own answer and your guess at the other player’s. Reveal the guesses first, then the real answers.
  4. Scoring cards: guess right about the other player while they guessed wrong about you, and you draw an extra card. Matching answers send the topic to the Agree pile.
  5. Discussion: if your answers differ, talk it over and put the topic on the Disagree pile, or in the middle if the difference actually helps. When one player holds 10 cards, the most cards wins, and you both win as a couple if the Disagree pile is smaller than the other two together.
